Business trips

? Am I covered on business trips?
! Your NHC insurance covers both business trips and holidays.

Cancellation

? How do I cancel the insurance?
! The insurance can be cancelled by 1 month´s prior to the annual principal due date. The cancellation must be done in writing by post, fax or e-mail

Claim

? How do I report a claim?
! If you are abroad and need immediate assistance you can either contact our alarm centre or our local service partners, centrally placed on all continents.
You can also report a claim online here or contact our claims department on +45 70 21 29 99 on weekdays from 9 am to 4 pm.
? When do I report a claim?
! You must report your claim at the latest 3 years after the end of the insurance year during which the claim arose.

Compensation

? When do I get my compensation paid out?
! Payment is effectuated by transfer to the place you are located – on the condition that it is possible to transfer the amount to the place in question. To receive immediate assistance you have to contact our alarm centres. Please see backside of your insurance card. You can report a claim here or call +45 70 21 29 99.

If you have questions or wish to take out an insurance, you can call our NHC-department on weekdays from 9 am to 4 pm on +45 33 27 83 80 or via e-mail info@nhcglobal.com.

In case of illness or injury and you need immediate assistance you can call our alarm centres 24 hours a day. In case of less acute matters you can report  a claim here or call us on +45 70 21 29 99.

Chronic illness

? Can I be insured even though I suffer from chronic illness?
! When taking out the insurance a health declaration form must be filled in. On the basis of this NHC´s physician will evaluate whether or not insurance can be taken out – maybe against a premium supplement or with limited cover – if you suffer from chronic illness.

Degree of disability

? How is the degree of disability determined?
! The degree of disability will be determined in accordance with the medical degree of disability, applying the disability scale compiled by the Danish Industrial Injuries Compensation Board ("Arbejdsskadestyrelsen“) without taking the Insured’s occupation into consideration.
? What do I do if I disagree with the determination of the degree of disability?
! If you disagree with the degree of permanent disability, it can upon your demand, be determined finally by the Danish Industrial Injuries Board (”Arbejdsskadestyrelsen”). The costs of such arbitration will be shared equally by the Insured and Nordic Health Care.

? Which hospitals do you cooperate with?
! We cooperate with hospitals all over the world, where we know the standard is good, and where you will receive correct and professional treatment in case of illness or injury. We make continuous inspections of places of treatment abroad.

Opening hours

? When are your opening hours?

Payment

? By when should the insurance be paid?
! The insurance must be paid no later than 14 days after it becomes effective. The exact date appears on from the policy.

PDF

? What is a PDF-file?
! PDF is a file format like for example .doc (Word) or .xls (Excel). In order to read PDF files, your computer must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. It is a free programme, and it can be downloaded free of charge on Adobe’s homepage.

Renewal

? How do I renew my insurance?
! Before your insurance expires, a renewal of the insurance will be submitted to you. The renewal will be forwarded about 1 month before principal date of payment.
? Can I pay for the renewal by credit card?
! It is not possible to pay the insurance by credit card. Payment can only take place via bank transfer or payment of the submitted giro payment form.
